Abraham Lincoln Centre

Preparing people for life, ready for tomorrow.

People with Special Needs

“The Abraham Lincoln Centre has given me the confidence to live on my own. The staff has been there for me every step of the way and they have been such a blessing to me in my life.”
-Daniel, Participant

The Abraham Lincoln Centre is at the forefront of services designed to provide a "safety net" for individuals who are developmentally and/or mentally disabled, as well as their families. Our commitment is to prepare people for life, ready for tomorrow. Our Special Education and Mental Health Services department offers adult developmental training programs, home-bound programs and programs for persons with mental illnesses. The department also operates 10 programs in 13 locations that are funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Development Disabilities, and the Illinois Department of Public Aid.
